  • After ACR: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Tri-County Technical College 1975. Served 6 years in the US Army Reserve - Military Police.  I was a police officer for 22 years before retiring in 2002 as a Sergeant from Forest Acres, SC Police Department. Had a wonderful career doing Crime Prevention, Community Relations, Training and OSHA compliance.
       Elected first female president of the SC State Association of Crime Prevention Officers in the early 90's.  Wrote one of the first programs in the country on Law Enforcement response to people with disabilities. Traveled to Police Departments across the country training police officers to recognize and assist individuals with traumatic brain injury.
       Currently take care of two grandchildren (Elijah and Shelby) while their parents work.
